Creating a community of inspired colour enthusiasts
Origin story…
Alice Cicolini’s work is born from a love of storytelling, of colour & pattern, and a passion for the depth of knowledge that mastercraft skill represents. Fascinated by the way in which ideas, techniques and motifs travel across vast landscapes to reappear in entirely different cultures and places, her work frequently juxtaposes forms and patterns across geographical boundaries and eras, in a way that is both playfully innovative and respectful of the traditions from which her ideas spring.
She first began her exploration in jewellery whilst living in India in 2008 when she started her masters at Central St Martins and began a decade long collaboration with Kamal Assat Meenakari and his carving craftsman Bablu, relationships which helped to form her unique identity and voice as a designer. She has since returned to the UK, where she lives and works in London, with two innovative master jewellers based in the city.
